Breezy Pines Cabins, perfectly located along the south west edge of ATV trails leading into the beautiful Paul Bunyan State Forest, just a few miles north of Nevis, MN.
Our group of avid ATV riders has been riding the trails of Paul Bunyan State Forest for the past several years. We love this area because of the trees, scenery, wildlife, hospitality and trails. Miles and miles of trails! You can spend several days riding in this area and seldom hit the same trail twice! Here is a glimpse of what you will experience while riding in this area.
In addition to beautiful trails you will also see tons of wildlife such as ruffed grouse, wild turkey, hawks, owls and an occasional bald eagle, white tailed deer, and if you’re lucky maybe a glimpse of a bear. And if you’re really, really lucky, a Minnesota Timber Wolf!
When we first came up to this area we stayed in motels in Park Rapids. The hospitality was great, but we had to deal with loading ATVS, driving to the park, unloading ATVs, riding all day, loading ATVs, driving back to town to spend the night in a motel. We started checking on resorts in the area and we were fortunate to find Breezy Pines Cabins on East Crooked Lake.
Breezy Pines Cabins is perfectly located right on the trails leading into Paul Bunyan State Forest South Unit, Paul Bunyan State Forest North Unit, and the Forest Riders trails that lead to Two Inlets and Smokey Hills State Forests. Sprinkled throughout these trails are plenty of ATV friendly stops for gas, food or drink. Towns like Nevis, Akeley, Lake George, Emmaville and Osage are ATV friendly and allow you to ride right up to the pump for fuel.
When you’re finished riding for the day you can park outside your cabin and jump into crystal clear East Crooked Lake for a refreshing swim to wash the road dust off. Then you can either head to Dorset or any of the other excellent restaurants in the area, or just fire up the grill and start a camp fire and relax right at Breezy Pines Resort.
Owners Dave and Rhonda are excellent hosts! Their campground is neat, clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a perfect spot to stay that provides miles and miles of ATV trails through some of the most beautiful scenery in Minnesota we would strongly recommend staying at Breezy Pines Cabins in Nevis, MN.
